Join Polish born artist Marek Sarba in a discussion about the voyage of the Titanic and its passengers and about Sarba's dynamic painting that remembers the lives of those who perished. Joining Sarba for the discussion will be Russell Jinishian, who is regarded as the nation's leading authority on contemporary marine art.

Artist Marek Sarba wanted to create a painting commemorating the sinking of the RMS Titanic (April 15,1912) - he decided to do something no one else had done before - a painting portraying 57 of the actual passengers and crew who lost their lives in the sinking.

As a professional seaman who spent 30 years as an engineer aboard ocean-going salvage tugs, he brings a unique perspective to what it takes to survive at sea for long periods of time. In his program, he will discuss the story of the Titanic from a Seaman/Artist’s point of view – a unique and revealing insight into the actual sinking and rescue, and the individuals involved.
